CR - AI- Revolutionize your Teaching and Student Learning (LR)

This workshop explores AI''s transformative power in education for both teachers and students. Educators will learn to streamline tasks like lesson planning and grading with AI tools, while students will discover how to use AI for research and problem-solving, all while addressing ethical considerations and academic integrity.

Participants will continue their learning through an online platform and can personalize their learning by choosing between two online courses: Discovering Prompt Engineering or Responsible Artificial Intelligence Foundations provided by MindSpark Learning. 

To earn credit, you need to attend one of the MindSpark Learning huddles and select at least one of the following available dates and times:

  • Thursday, June 12, 2025 9:00 am -10:00 am
  • Thursday, June 12, 2025  4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Wednesday, June 18, 2025 9:00am - 10:00 am
  • Wednesday, June 18, 2025  4:00 pm -5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, June 24, 2025 9:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Tuesday, June 24th, 2025  4:00 pm - 5:00 pm 

This learning opportunity includes a $70 material to cover the cost of the online course and access to MindSpark Learning Experts.

This is a 1 credit LR credit opportunity 


Important Session Information:


Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the potential of AI in education: Participants will be able to articulate the various ways AI can be applied to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Identify and utilize practical AI tools for administrative tasks: Participants will be able to identify and demonstrate basic usage of AI tools for lesson planning, grading, and resource curation.
  • Integrate AI ethically and responsibly: Participants will be able to understand and apply ethical considerations and best practices for AI integration in their classrooms.
  • Promote critical thinking and prevent academic dishonesty in the age of AI: Participants will be able to develop strategies to foster critical thinking skills in students and mitigate AI-related academic dishonesty.
  • Transform perceptions of AI: Participants will shift their view of AI from a potential threat to a collaborative tool for educational enhancement.

Collaboratively explore the challenges and opportunities presented by AI in education through scenario-based discussions and shared solution-building.

Engage in hands-on exploration of AI educational tools and group discussions to experience AI shifting their perception from threat to learning enhancer.

Explore and apply practical AI tools for lesson planning, grading, and resource curation to streamline administrative tasks

Engage with one of two online courses provided by Mindspark:

Responsible Artificial Intelligence Foundations or Discovering Prompt Engineering

Attend one AEA Huddle Session

Discuss how you have grown in your personal and professional growth and your future actions and next steps.  (Discussion Forum)

Certificate of Completion of Mindspark Course
Discussion Forum Reflection and Response

Grading Criteria

Pass 12- 7 Points + Pass on Mindspark Course
Fail 7 or less (regardless of pass/fail on Mindspark Course)

*Participants must meet all attendance requirements in order to pass
