CR- Foundations of High Quality Intervention and Specially Designed Instruction
Cedar Falls CRAEA February 6th, 2025




This course is intended for year one CRAEA team representatives and their mentors. Participants
will learn the foundations of diagnostic assessment in order to identify specific student needs and
recommend appropriate services through an understanding of the Supplemental and Intensive Tiers Guide. Participants will use the Learner Steps within the Supplemental and Intensive Tiers Guide to understand the components of a high quality MTSS system. They will learn to use and analyze student data to determine instructional needs. Participants will have an opportunity to practice coaching teachers and LEA partners to create high quality interventions and specially designed instruction based on data driven student needs.
