This professional learning will provide educators supporting students with unfinished learning in mathematics with a research based intervention program giving students access to grade-level Iowa Core Standards. Supporting Ongoing Achievement Responsively (SOAR) can be used flexibly within an MTSS system by teams of general education and special education teachers. Participants’ learning will center around making sense, posing purposeful questions, creating and using representations, using strategies, and providing explanations specific to understanding addition/subtraction computation. Participants will also implement the diagnostic survey and aligned student activities.
There is a $50 materials fee. Each participant will get a training packet and the SOAR domain binder (curriculum).
