Aligned with the SDI Framework, this professional development supports teachers and providers in diagnosing, designing, and delivering effective specially designed instruction through the use of evidence-based tools and processes, aiming to improve the outcomes of preschool learners in inclusive settings.
The CRAEA Preschool SDI scale-up is a professional development initiative aimed to develop and implement tools and processes to aid teachers in delivering effective specially designed instruction, improving the outcomes for learners with disabilities. The content within this course includes but is not limited to: choosing and implementing evidence based practices, data collection, organizing adults, creating an instructional plan, and implementation fidelity.
This is a multi-year commitment to the professional learning, coaching supports, and implementation practices tied to the SDI framework.
Participants need to be working with a district that is involved in the SDI initiative, and have completed Year 1 of the Preschool SDI learning strand.
Access to a program like Lesson Pix or Boardmaker is required.
Building Blocks for Teaching Preschoolers with Special Needs - Sandall & Schwartz (not required)
Handouts - access to handouts will be made available prior to learning dates for personal printing purposes.
Participants can choose to print or have electronic use.
