CR - Level 2: Bringing Masonry into the Industrial Tech Classroom - Restoration Focus (GRAD CREDIT ONLY)
BAC 3 IA Training Center July 23, 2025

The Masonry Institute of Iowa and the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers local 3 Iowa have partnered to offer post-secondary industrial technology professionals an opportunity for a hands-on educational learning experience in masonry. The Level 2 course will focus on a new masonry concept each summer, so that instructors can refresh their masonry skills yearly. 2025 will focus on restoration/PCC (pointing, caulking, cleaning) of masonry including tuckpointing, caulking, stone patching and more. Hands-on instruction – with the intent to build on masonry skills that instructors can pass along to their students – will include building a tuckpointing board that can be replicated in the classroom. Curriculum materials such as instruction videos, tests, evaluations, worksheets and classroom set-up will be provided so that teachers can include PCC as part of their classroom masonry unit.

Note: Must take CR - Bringing Masonry into the Industrial Tech Classroom- 1

Important Session Information:
