The Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach is proven to reduce challenging behaviors, teach kids the skills they lack, and build relationships with the adults in their lives. CPS helps adults shift to a more accurate and compassionate mindset and embrace the truth that kids do well if they can – rather than the more common belief that kids would do well if they simply wanted to.
The Essential Foundation (Level 1) course covers all aspects of the Collaborative Problem Solving approach. Through lectures, role-play, video examples, case studies, breakout groups, and coaching, participants learn how to identify what’s causing unmet expectations and challenging behavior and how to address those causes using a relational and replicable process.
